Privacy statement
Last updated: 5 August 2026
We think it matters that you know what we do with your data. So we explain it here in plain language, without the legal fog.
In short: we ask for as little as possible, we don't sell anything on, and you can have it all deleted whenever you like.
Who are we?
HitBingo is run by IDEO b.v., registered in the Netherlands.
- Chamber of Commerce number: NL 32086722
- VAT number: NL 8099.75.543.B.01
- Contact: support@hitbingo.music
If you need us, an email is the quickest route โ there's always someone behind it.
What data do we record?
When you create an account
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your first and last name | To address you personally in the app and in emails |
| Your email address | To log in, and to send you your bingo cards and playlist |
| Country and language | To show the site in the right language |
We store your email address encrypted. If anyone ever got into our database, they wouldn't find readable addresses.
How you log in
You don't have a password at HitBingo. That saves you remembering another one, and it saves us storing it.
Instead we email you a login code whenever you want to log in. That code is valid briefly and works once. So a password of yours can never leak from us โ because we don't have one.
For security
We record your IP address and browser type when you log in and when you do important things in your account.
We don't do that to follow you around, but to spot abuse. For example: someone guessing at a login code hundreds of times, or an account suddenly being used from the other side of the world.
When you pay
Payments go through Mollie. So we never see your bank details or card number โ those stay with Mollie.
We only keep the amount, the date and the payment reference. Enough to create your invoice and to help you if something goes wrong.
When you order as a business
Want an invoice in your company's name? Then we ask for your company name, address and, if applicable, VAT number. We use those solely for the invoice.
What you create yourself
The bingos you create โ the name, the description, the songs โ we store so you can find and edit them later.
When you leave a review
Then we keep your review and the name you want shown with it. You decide yourself whether your name is visible.
How long do we keep it?
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Your account and your bingos | As long as your account exists |
| Invoices and the address details on them | 7 years โ required by the Dutch tax authorities |
| Login attempts | 12 months, then we delete them |
| Activity logs | 12 months, then we wipe the IP address and browser details |
| Reviews | As long as they're on the site |
Who do we share data with?
Only with parties we need in order to deliver the service. We never sell anything on.
| Party | What for | What they get |
|---|---|---|
| Mollie | Handling payments | Your payment details and the amount |
| Google Analytics | Statistics (only with your consent) | Anonymised visitor behaviour |
| Google reCAPTCHA | Keeping spambots off the sign-up form | Your IP address and some behavioural data |
| Spotify | Fetching and preparing playlists | The playlist URL you provide |
| Our mail server | Sending emails | Your email address and the contents of the email |
About Spotify
You do not link your Spotify account to HitBingo. We also never ask for your Spotify password.
Here's how it actually works: you paste the link to a public playlist, and we read which songs are in it. Want the list back in Spotify? Then we set it up on our Spotify account and email you the link.
How do we protect your data?
- All connections run over a secure connection (https).
- Your email address is stored encrypted in our database.
- We work entirely without passwords, so there's none to steal.
- Only we have access to the admin environment.
What are your rights?
You're in charge of your own data. Specifically, you may:
- See what data we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your account and everything that goes with it
- Object to how we use your data
Most of it you can arrange yourself in your account. If you get stuck, email support@hitbingo.music โ we reply within a few working days.
Deleting your account
You can do that yourself, from your account settings. No phone queue, no form, no "are you really absolutely sure" in triplicate.
Here's what happens:
Gone is gone. Your account, your bingos, your playlists, your payment details and any company details are genuinely deleted. Not "set to inactive".
Two things stay behind, and we'd rather say so plainly:
- Your reviews stay up. The link to your account disappears, but the text and the name you chose to show at the time remain visible. Want a review gone too? Drop us a line and we'll take care of it.
- We keep invoices for 7 years. That's not our choice; the Dutch tax authorities require it.
Cookies
We have a separate page for those, otherwise this story gets rather long: Cookie policy.
Disclaimer
We do our best to keep the information on this site correct and up to date. Even so, something can slip through the cracks โ a price that just changed, a text that's lagging behind.
So no rights can be derived from the information on this site. Spotted something that isn't right? Let us know at support@hitbingo.music and we'll fix it. That helps all of us.
HitBingo is meant for good times. We do our utmost to keep the site running, but we can't guarantee it works flawlessly always and everywhere. We're not liable for damage arising from use of the site, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on our part.
Not happy with how we handle your data?
Tell us first โ chances are we'll simply fix it. Email support@hitbingo.music.
If we can't work it out together, you're entitled to lodge a complaint. As we're established in the Netherlands, our supervisory authority is the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens: autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. You can just as well go to the data protection authority in your own country.
Changes
If anything changes about how we handle data, we'll update this statement. At the top you can see when that last happened. For significant changes, we'll let you know.
